In Neukol, we provide the record feature in the class. You and the students can view the replay of the video recorded.
In Neukol, there are 4 recording features
·Corresponding features can be set in the Portal/API interface
·The New Room’s recording method is determined by the teacher permission type settled on the Portal.
·Different recording methods are mutually exclusive, you can not initiate local recording if your classroom is settled as cloud recording, you can not record if your classroom is settled as Do not record.
Manual cloud recording &replay
Recording
·You can start and stop recording anytime in the classroom, the playback video will be stored on the Cloud disk
·When you(as a teacher) left or closed the classroom or Neukol shut down cause of the crash, the record will be stopped.
·When you stopped the recording, you can start another recording again.

Replay
After recording on the cloud, an online video will be generated, and you and the students can view the replay on the client.
1. Replay generation rules: After recording on the cloud, a replay video will be generated in about 10 to 15 minutes. Please wait patiently.
2. Playback view: you can see the generated state of the recorded playback of the corresponding classroom in the schedule. If "View replay" is displayed, it indicates that the replay video has been successfully generated.

Automatic cloud recording & replay
Recording
You can enable automatic cloud recording through the portal /API interface. In this mode, the system will automatically record the lecture-side teaching interface and generate online playback after the class.

Local recording & replay
Recording
Local recording Precautions: Before using the local recording feature, please reserve sufficient space on the local disk. Otherwise, the recording may fail.
1 Set the default location for storing local recording
You can set the location for storing locally recorded videos. After setting the location, you can view the locally recorded files in the corresponding file storage directory.
1) Setting storage location: The instructor can change the file storage location in [Settings] - [General Settings].
How to record
You can start and end local recording at any time during the class. The recording file will be stored on the lecturer's computer.
1) Start recording: Click the "Record" button to start the local recording.
2) Recording: After the recording is enabled, the red "Recording" icon will be displayed in the title bar, and the recording button will also become red.
And you can also stop recording by clicking the same button.
Replay & How
After recording, the lecturer can open the file storage directory in "Settings" - "General Settings" to view the corresponding content.
Do not record
You can choose not to record through the portal /API interface. In this mode, the system will not record in the cloud, and the lecturer will not be able to enable the cloud recording/local recording function.
ps: No recording: The lecturer can see the "Record" button in the classroom. After clicking the button, it will prompt the administrator to add the recording permission. Recording cannot be performed in the current classroom.
